Data Can Be Used For Bad Or Good Purposes!
How Will You Use Yours?
Hello Everyone!
I had a dream last night about the nature of computer data.
The dream was a story about how an assassin who was a computer construction could take any shape it wanted to, so it could get close to the intended targets.
After all, all computer data at its base is only zeros and ones. What we do with those zero’s and ones make all the difference.
This assassin in my dream was able to pose as Spock and get close to Kirk, Scotty, Bones and Uhura in an elevator in Earth’s space academy and attacks them all with a knife and transports away.
The victims are quickly found and an announcement is broadcast telling people in the building their condition.
The assassin monitoring realizes that it has made a mistake, and he got the wrong targets for some reason. (Remember this is a dream it does not have to make sense.)
The assassin quickly beams down and affects a cure on all of his mistaken victims.
For some reason, Bones cannot be found immediately, he is found, after a search in the kitchen eating out of a can of peaches.
He is asked what he is doing. He says “I’ve hated peaches all of my life, but today for some reason they taste really good.”
So I hope all your data behaves in a good way for you.
Speaking of data, an important step in your work with your computer is your backup.
I have previously written about the importance of backing up your important data and how I back mine up.
I have looking for an off site solution and have found an article talking abut Norton™ Online Backup 25GB which was just released.
It has a 25 GB backup, and if it is as good as Norton from Symantec’s product “Ghost” which I have used working as a computer technician; it should be a very good product.
How ever my search of a suitable off site backup is still on.
I have too much stuff to backup and the 25GB backup would not work for me for a full backup but may work for me as a temporary measure for critical data.
However it may be great for you.
Why Choose Norton Online Backup?
* NEW! Works with both Windows and Mac computers — Lets you back up files from up to five of your family’s computers, even if they run different platforms.
* NEW! Lets you search backup sets for specific files by keyword — Simply enter a key word or search term to quickly and easily find the file or files you want to restore.
* NEW! Simplifies file sharing — Lets you email links to files in your backup set so you can easily share them with family, friends, and colleagues.
The current price is $49.99 for a one year license to protect 5 Home Computers.
That’s a pretty good value.
Here is a link to the product information page – Take A Look!
I hope you will find this helpful.
All the Best!
