How I Got The “Computer Doctor” Nickname

Hello Everyone!

Today I will be talking about how I got The “Computer Doctor” Nickname.

Early on in my computer repair service career I picked up a client which happened to be the local hospital where I was living at the time.

It just started out with a few projects until it turned out to be several different projects and sites through out the whole hospital.

I had other clients so while I could not spend all my time at the hospital, I certainly did spend a fair bit of time there in all areas and departments.

This was one of my favorite clients because the people were easy to deal with and of course the volume of work that I got.

So every couple of days I would go to the hospital and do my rounds.
I would wander all through the hospital and visit all my computers under my care.

It didn’t take too long for some joker to give me a white jacket to wear while I was on my rounds.

Of course being the ham that I am, I went along with the joke and had lots of fun with it as well.

This went on for several years and I made lots of friends and customers there.

They eventually hired a full time person to do my work, I was asked if I wanted to apply but declined because I wanted to have the freedom of my self employed position, I had allot of other clients that I had obligations with.

I was introduced to the new fellow and gave him the grand tour and showed him the hot spots and gave him all the information I could to help him get started.

That developed into a very good relationship, and the hospital continued for many years as one of my best clients, but in another way.

People remembered my work there and still referred to me as the “Computer Doctor’ to my amusement.

So that’s where I got it!

Remember! “If you can’t laugh at yourself, you are missing the best jokes!”

“And my material is getting better all the time!”

“In the game of life, whoever has the most fun wins!”

Have a great day!
